If Dark of the Moon is as critically derided as Revenge of the Fallen, then I really think critics just love to hate on Michael Bay. Why they can suspend believed to fare like Thor (good) or Iron Man 2 (which is quite nice mess) when Transformers bludgeoning lost on me. Dark of the Moon has a more serious tone than the first two films. Fortunately, unlike the last few releases, this is one movie that left some of the best material from the trailer and TV spots. A chase between Bumblebee and his followers and three Decepticons are very animalistic in the highway toward the end of the first half is jaw-dropping spectacle.
